Brass turned parts. Best machinability, clean surface.

Precision turned parts in brass up to Ø 42 mm. From the classic CW614N to lead-free drinking-water alloys – in small and large series.

Brass Turned Parts

Brass turned parts to your drawing – the material with the highest machinability and the most decorative surface in the turned-part range.

Brass is the ideal material for high volumes with short cycle times: machinability is excellent, and surfaces come out clean and bright without secondary finishing. We turn brass precision parts up to Ø 42 mm in any lot size.

The standard is the leaded free-machining alloy CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) with excellent chip breaking. For drinking-water and sanitary applications subject to the EU Drinking Water Directive, we use lead-free, dezincification-resistant alloys such as CW724R.

Its good electrical and thermal conductivity makes brass the preferred material for contact and connector parts in electrical engineering. Brass is also the first choice for decorative visible parts.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ on Brass turned parts.

Which brass alloys do you turn?+
The standard is CW614N (CuZn39Pb3). For forming-intensive parts CW508L, for drinking water lead-free CW724R. Further alloys on request.
Can you manufacture lead-free brass for drinking water?+
Yes. Using dezincification-resistant, lead-free alloys such as CW724R we manufacture turned parts that comply with the EU Drinking Water Directive.
What are the surfaces like on brass turned parts?+
Brass turns very clean and bright. For visible parts, additional treatments such as nickel or chrome plating are available through partners.
From what quantity is brass economical?+
Thanks to short cycle times, brass is economical even from small series. Prototypes from quantity 1 with transparently itemized setup costs.
Up to what diameter do you turn brass?+
Bar stock up to Ø 42 mm, with live tooling including cross holes, milled features and threads in one setup.
How quickly do I receive a quote?+
Once your drawing arrives we check feasibility, and a binding quote follows within 48 hours.
