Titanium turned parts. Biocompatible and high-strength.

Precision turned parts in titanium up to Ø 42 mm. From commercially pure Grade 2 to Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5/23) – for medical technology and demanding applications.

Titanium Turned Parts

Titanium turned parts to your drawing – the high-performance material for medical technology, combining strength, low weight and biocompatibility.

Titanium is the most demanding material in our turning program – and one where our location in the district of Tuttlingen, the world center of medical technology, counts most. We turn titanium precision parts up to Ø 42 mm.

Commercially pure titanium Grade 2 (3.7035) is readily formable and corrosion-resistant. Where maximum strength at low weight is required, we machine the alloy Ti-6Al-4V as Grade 5 (3.7165) and in the extra-pure variant Grade 23 (ELI) for medical applications.

Titanium places high demands on cutting parameters, cooling and tooling: low thermal conductivity and chemical reactivity call for a controlled process. This process reliability – including material traceability and documentation – is part of our ISO 9001 quality management.

Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5)
the most widely used high-strength titanium alloy
3.7165 ELI
Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Grade 23)
extra pure, for implant-adjacent medical technology
3.7025
Titanium Grade 1
softest commercially pure grade, highest ductility

Frequently asked questions

FAQ on Titanium turned parts.

Which titanium materials do you turn?+
Commercially pure titanium Grade 1 and 2 as well as the alloy Ti-6Al-4V as Grade 5 and as extra-pure Grade 23 (ELI) for medical-adjacent applications.
Are your titanium turned parts suitable for medical technology?+
Yes. With Ti-6Al-4V ELI we manufacture components for non-implant medical technology with material traceability and documentation to ISO 9001.
Up to what diameter do you turn titanium?+
Bar stock up to Ø 42 mm. Because of the material's properties, we define cutting parameters and cooling specifically for each part.
What tolerances are achievable in titanium?+
IT7 is standard, IT6 with an adapted strategy. Tighter dimensions via downstream grinding at our partners in the my-precision group.
Isn't titanium machining expensive?+
Material and machining are more involved than with steel – in return, the components are lighter and highly durable. We quote transparently and advise on the most economical solution.
How do I get a price?+
Once your drawing arrives we check feasibility, and a binding quote follows within 48 hours.
